Our membership consists of 1,100 organizations, including utilities, technology providers, independent system operators, regulators, energy users, project developers, consultancies,  and nonprofits, who look to us to provide the community, data, insight, and facilitation necessary to make the right decisions in the evolution of the utility business model and more engaging customer programs.

Position

The Membership Data Analyst will be the internal champion for the data stored in our Salesforce database. The Analyst is always thinking about how to use the data Salesforce can provide to identify key prospects to  strengthen the SEPA community, find at-risk members, and glean other insights from reports. They are also responsible creating reports, maintaining data integrity, and responding to internal request for Salesforce data. The ideal candidate has an advanced knowledge of Salesforce and its tools. They are able to analyze data and match SEPA products and services to maximize membership.  The Analyst is  customer-service oriented, highly organized, and a strong player of cross-functional teams.  The position is based in Washington, DC, and may require occasional travel (<10%).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of information entered into Salesforce
  • Creates reports and dashboards to track progress toward goals
  • Lead individual on creating customized Salesforce reports upon request
  • Handles all "mass uploads" of industry and events lists related to membership
  • Works with Senior Membership Coordinator on invoicing, payment application, and other financial tasks
  • Analyzes SEPA member and non-member data and works with the Membership Associate to analyze publication, event, and other member-related data to identify opportunities for recruitment and engagement
  • Provides membership recruitment lists that are used for prospecting by Senior Staff
  • Serves as internal champion to promote staff adoption and usage of Salesforce
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three to Five years of related experience (Not-for-profit organization experience a plus)
  • At least two years of experience working with Salesforce
  • Experience with Google platform including Drive, Mail, & Apps
